Access Point 4 Housing

Description: Can use volunteer help with greeting people for their appointments and assisting them with completing their paper work.

  • AP4H voicemail: Checking and transcribe voicemail to call log. The volunteer needs to be very detail oriented, great with data entry and comfortable with the phone and computer.  Time Commitment: 30 minutes daily.
  • Appointment reminders: Contact scheduled clients with AP4H to remind them of appointments or rescheduling appointments if client needs to reschedule when reminder calls are made.  The volunteer needs to have good phone etiquette and feel comfortable with the phone and computer.  Time Commitment: 1 hour a daily.
  • AP4H Clerical Support: Assist with filing closed files, shredding, faxing, scanning, and printing.  The volunteer needs to be detailed oriented.  Time Commitment: 1-2 hours a week.
  • AP4H Client Callback: Returning phone calls of those seeking rental or utility assistance and providing resources for those services.  The volunteer needs to have good phone etiquette and feel comfortable with the phone and computer.  Time Commitment: 1-3 hours a week.
  • AP4H Resource Research: Call various resources in community such as religious based transitional housing, finding out criteria for these programs, and if applicable notifying AP4H staff of openings.  The volunteer needs to be detail oriented and feel comfortable with the phone and computer.  Time Commitment: 1-5 hours a week.
