Community Quarterly Meeting
Convened by Associated Ministries

YOU make the Community Quarterly Meetings to End Homelessness a HUGE success!

What an AWESOME Community Quarterly Meeting (CQM) we had last week!  The speakers were great! The people who attended were just remarkable! What dedication in one room!

Special thanks goes to those who take the time every quarter to show-up and listen to the latest news/data around homelessness.  We need to start by educating ourselves to make informed decisions about next steps.

We had quite a few new people attend this past CQM. What a joy it is to see that the word is getting out and people are coming forward.

So far in 2017, 143 people attended the CQM! 17 pastors have agreed to endorse the CQMs, which shows their commitment to this work!

If it was not for each and every one of you, we would not have made the progress we have made so far towards impacting homelessness.  YOU are making a difference!

Associated Ministries convenes these meetings in partnership with other homeless and housing service providers working in Pierce County, with the goal of creating an energizing space to gather regularly to learn about, discuss and take action on the crisis of homelessness in our community.

Please be sure to join us during our next CQM on
December 5th from 4-6pm at Bethlehem Baptist Church, 4818 East Portland Ave, Tacoma WA 98404.

We would like to share a few highlights from our last meeting to encourage you to attend the upcoming meetings.

Kristin Ely, along with her team from the City of Tacoma, facilitated a break-out group. Two churches are in conversations right now to provide safe parking for households experiencing homelessness! This is a GREAT accomplishment!

Mike Yoder, Associated Ministries’ Executive Director, led a team to brainstorm how to get more people of faith and goodwill involved in the Community Quarterly Meetings. We know it will take a LOT of people of faith and goodwill to impact homelessness!

Noah Baskett, from the Tacoma Rescue Mission, led another break-out group. This group spent a lot of time in conversation around homelessness and then decided as a take-away to gather donated socks and underwear for those coming to the mission for shelter.
