Event Information

On Saturday March 22, 2025, from 9 am to 2 pm, the Tacoma Family Search Center located at 1102 S. Pearl St. in Tacoma is hosting the annual African American Family History Event.

Speakers and videos will help anyone with a desire to connect with more of their family ancestry. Where to begin having just one name and information about connecting African Americans with their Native American family ties will be among the topics discussed. Hands on access to various family search websites will be provided with knowledgeable coaches providing assistance.

Youth ages 12 and over will be enjoying a cultural program including fashion show, music, and more. Lunch will be provided. The event and all activities, including lunch, is free and open to the community. WiFi access is provided so bring your phones or laptops. Contact 253-564-1103 for more information.
