Earth Day Speaker to Explore Sustainable Food Choices as Creation Care

On Earth Day, 7 p.m., April 22, 2025, Kenyan-American Gordon Okumu will explore our “food choices as creation care.” The free, public presentation is presented by the Greening Parish Committee of Christ Episcopal Church, 310 North K Street, in Tacoma. Educated in enviromental policy and community development, Okumu employs his skills to advocate for policies for more sustainable food systems. Through hands-on international experience, his work helps find community-driven solutions that together nourish communities, empower farmers and protect the environment.
