“I believe that the Church . . . should apologize to the person who is gay.” ~ Pope Francis
In response to the Pope’s call for an apology from the Church to LGBTQ people . . . we invite you to a community prayer where we can recognize the failure of the church, God’s people, to keep LGBTQ people safe from discrimination and hurt.
Please join us, gay and straight together, for a Liturgy of Apology on Tuesday, June 19 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, 710 S. 13th St., Tacoma 98405. All faith traditions are welcome! For more information, please contact Anna De Foe at firstname.lastname@example.org.
*** Please Note: We ask that all events submitted to AM for approval for our calendar be aligned with our mission for uniting people of faith to build stronger communities. We appreciate submissions regarding any faith-based event, free services to our community, or opportunities for locals to access helpful resources. We accept posts for fundraising events that benefit vulnerable people in our community and which are hosted by a local faith community. We also reserve the right to deny any submission request without contacting the submitter due to work load and time constraints, however if you have any questions about our events calendar or the way we decide what makes it onto our events calendar feel free to contact us at Communications@AssociatedMinistries.org.
