Project Homeless Connect is Taking a New Approach
As you may have heard AM is unable to host our summer Project Homeless Connect event and potentially the fall and winter events due to the ongoing pandemic. However, we are excited to announce that we are coming together with our community partners, service agencies and volunteers to create Project Homeless Connect Community resource bags. We will be assembling bags filled with resources for our community members currently experiencing homelessness and distributing them to service agencies and shelters throughout Pierce County over the coming weeks.
AM will host two bag assembly events in the upcoming weeks. Volunteers will assemble 2,000 resource bags that will contain essential items such as hygiene kits, antibacterial soap, hand sanitizer, socks, toilet paper, personal body wipes, hand warmers, washable face masks, toothbrushes, toothpaste, small first aid packets, bottled water, healthy snacks, resource flyers and more! Donations of these items, as well as winter hats and gloves, are needed. If you would like to donate any of these items, please contact Michele Cotton at michelec@associatedministries.org. Our community appreciates your donations!
It is our hope we are able to resume in-person events in 2021 so we can provide additional services such as medical services, dental services, haircuts, and others. Until then we are grateful we can provide these Project Homeless Connect Community resource bags to our community.
