AM Seeking a Muralist

Request for Proposal

Associated Ministries (AM) is requesting proposals from artists with connection to the Hilltop and/or Tacoma community to create a mural on one face of our building that will provide our clients with a sense of welcome and belonging to all.  Many of our clients are people of color experiencing homelessness, but we also serve the broad make-up of Pierce County in race, ethnicity, gender identity and faith tradition.  In addition to creating a sense of welcome, we hope that mural will help to build healthy communities, increase social capital, repair harm and restore relationships.  The mural may also include images that reflect our identity as an interfaith organization with the mission of “working together toward lasting solutions to homelessness” if these themes fit within the artist’s vision.
