Payee and Homeless Mail Services

Payee Services

Payee Services are provided to individuals who have been referred from DSHS, SPIPA or Social Security. These individuals struggle to pay their bills and budget effectively. Often times, these individuals also have difficulty maintaining stable housing.

This instability is mostly a result of mismanagement of their funds (which may be due to mental and/or physical disabilities). Protective payee services ensure that rent and utility costs are paid, along with other personal expenses, thus security stability for most vulnerable in our community.

Eligiblity Criteria for Protective Payee Service

  • Assists households receiving Social (SSI/SSA) and DSHS benefits.
  • Associated Ministries staff manages finances and provides financial counseling.
  • Households receiving DSHS benefits must receive a referral from a DSHS case worker.
  • SSI/ SSA households must call for an appointment to begin services.
