Juneteenth!

On Friday, June 19, AM joins our nation in observing Juneteenth by closing our office for the day. Juneteenth has been an officially recognized national holiday for a several years now, but it is actually considered to be the “longest-running African-American holiday” and has been called “America’s second Independence Day.” The name Juneteenth comes from its observance on the 19th of June, and commemorates the final recognition of the end of slavery throughout America on June 19, 1865 in Texas. We are proud that AM began observing this day even before it was an official holiday.
