Employment Barriers for Persons with Disabilities – a Listening Session co-hosted by City of Tacoma Human Rights Commission and Commission on Disabilities

Wage Theft – Community Workshop

Wage theft is the illegal withholding of wages or the denial of benefits that are owed to an employee.   It is governed by the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and can include such things as: failure to pay minimum wage or prevailing wage; improper withholding of wages; failure to compensate for overtime; improper classification of employees; and failure to make proper deductions. Come learn what wage theft is, share your stories, and find out resources.
