Windermere Realty Gives Back!

Windermere Professional Partners recently donated $10,112 to Associated Ministries to help the most vulnerable in our community!  A team of agents visited our offices to present the check in person.  They were met by a very appreciative and enthusiastic AM staff team who applauded them for their generous support of our work.

For the past 27 years, the Windermere Foundation has donated a portion of the proceeds from every home purchased or sold towards supporting low-income and homeless families in our communities. To date, they have raised over $30 million for programs and organizations that provide shelter, food, children’s programs, emergency assistance, and other services to those most in need of help.  A portion of agent commissions goes to the Windermere Foundation and each year they get a check back from the Foundation to spend in their local communities. Donations also include staff gifts donated over and above agent commissions.

Windermere has also supported our Paint Tacoma-Pierce Beautiful (PTPB) program by supplying volunteers to paint the homes of low-income families.  We learned that the mother of one of the Windermere Professional Partners had her home painted by AM staff through PTPB a few years ago.  Another Partner shared how we recently helped one of her clients keep her home through our foreclosure counseling program.

AM has a vision for this community: that Pierce County will be a place where everyone has access to the opportunities necessary to satisfy their essential needs, to advance their well-being and to achieve their full potential.  Driven by this vision, AM has mobilized hundreds of community volunteers to paint the homes of 2175 low-income families since 1985 through the PTPB program.  And our certified housing counselors helped 400 homeowners avoid losing their homes to foreclosure last year.

Thank you, Windermere Professional Partners, for embracing this vision and joining us in a bold mission to free the vulnerable in our community from the ravages of poverty.  Your generosity ignites a spirit of kindness and compassion across our community!
