AM Office on Alternative Schedule

Out of an abundance of caution, most AM staff members will be working from home until the virus emergency subsides. After receiving news of a COVID-19 diagnosis within the local homeless population, the risk of exposure has become too great. Staying home is our contribution to “social distancing” which is key to stopping the spread of this virus.

The AM office will be open only for on-demand screening appointments for those experiencing homelessness who do not have their own phones, between 11:00 am and 3:00 pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Only the client will be in our building; our housing staff will meet with clients via phone from their homes. Those experiencing homelessness are asked to schedule a phone screening appointment by calling 2-1-1 or submitting the form linked from our home page at www.associatedministries.org. Our Homeless Mail/Payee department will remain open for its normal hours of 1:00-3:00 pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

We believe this new working arrangement will allow us to continue meeting our clients’ needs while simultaneously protecting our staff and community. While we have some challenging weeks ahead of us, the AM staff is a resilient and dynamic group, and always ready for a challenge. That is why we’re confident we will get through this difficult season and come out an even more effective team and valuable community resource on the other side.

Take care of yourself and your family, and pray for the AM team and the vulnerable people we will continue to serve.
